It was previewed in Florence, during the summer edition of the Pitti Immagine Uomo, the first "Riva Mare" summer collection, that will be available next year. The three lines that represent the collection's soul have had great success. Completely made in Italy, they look for maintaining the high quality of Riva brand, and propose bermudas, button-neck sweater, t-shirts and swimsuits realized with the best fabrics. Main colours, alongside white and cream, are turquoise and coral, true symbols that remind to classic '50s Riva motorboats' colours. 20 HELICOPTERS AND RIVA MOTORBOATS LET FANTASY FLY ABOVE LOMBARDY LAKES
It ended on Sunday 11th June the second appointment for the season 2006 of the Riva Meetings. The Helicopter Meeting, this year at its second edition, has seen as main charachters Riva motoboats and 20 helicopters, most of which owned by people who took part also to the last edition of this meeting. For four days participants were given the chance to visit the Riva shipyard in Sarnico, to test the boats produced in the historical headquarters and to enjoy at the most their aircrafts flying above some of the most beautful landscapes of Lombardy, on the Iseo, Maggiore and Garda Lakes. Thanks to the consolidated relationship of Riva with the Italian Army, they have also had the opportunity to admire the exhibition of an A129 Mangusta and of a SICORSKY HH3F, while on Saturday night a partnership was born between Riva and the Frecce Tricolori which has then been topped on Sunday by the exhibition of the national acrobatic air squadron above Lazise, on the Garda Lake, where participants have been hosted by the Nautica Casarola, Riva historical dealer. It ended on Sunday 4th June, with a défilé on the Canal Grande, the fourth edition of Riva Wooden Boats Meeting, the meeting of classical Riva wooden boats, that this year took place in Venice. RIVA PRESENTS THE “BIRTH OF VENERE”
A warm night and the productive shipyard of La Spezia have been a frame to the great event organized last 6th May for the launch of the new Riva 75’ Venere. The new Goddess of the Riva Olympus, with her soft and very evocative lines, perfectly in harmony with the tradition of the boat yard, aims to combine classical style with plastic forms of a highly innovative design, thus becoming a modern interpretation of the divinity symbol of absolute beauty. Daughter of the Sky and Sea, Venere could not have found a better representation than a Riva boat. During the evening, guests was given the chance to admire the integrated art works of the artist Vittoria Vanghelis and to be present to the very involving performance of Venere’s birth. With this event, Riva, whose boats have always been considered one of the most representative products of Italian design, has raided the world of tout cout art, in a game of reciprocal interpretation. RIVALE GETS THE BOATING APPROVAL FOR THE SWISS LAKES
The environmental noise test, taken on 14th February obtained readings within the maximum limit of 72dBA. The test took place in the Sarnico shipyard nearby and was taken in the presence of Swiss authority. The excellent results, that have been possible thanks to the careful studies carried on by Riva’s engineering dept. and to the co-operative efforts of Riva’s production dept. during boat’s fitting out, allowed the boat to receive the ratification to the strict Helvetic laws, just as it happened to Aquariva in 2002 and to Rivarama in 2004. Riva Rivale is equipped with 900Hp common rail engines and reaches a 37,5 Kn maximum speed at 2300 rpm (cruise speed 34,5 Kn). The lowering of noise threshold has been reached studying a special gas waste equipment and fitting the engine room’s with sound-proof material. This important result confirms once again the importance dedicated by Riva to study and use of careful manufacturing techniques that, along with the employment of first quality materials, allow the shipyard to build since ever the best boats in the market. The homologation, obtained for the 900Hp model purposely modified, is re-proposable on request....more »

Riva, within the elegant setting of the Italian Embassy in Madrid, presented to Spanish public and press its new partner for the Hiberic Country. Since autumn 2005 in fact, besides Ventura Spain, it became official the new commercial relationship with Ibiza Yacht Service, exclusive dealer for Riva in the Balear Islands. Riva presented the three events, dedicated to its owners, in program this year: the classic Wooden Boats Meeting, the meeting for mahogany boats that will take place between 1st and 4th June in Venice; the Eliraduno, a manifestation launched last year to which take part Riva owners who possess also an helicopter and that will unwind itself between Iseo, Garda and Maggiore lakes from 8th to 11th June; and the traditional Riva Trophy, dedicated to all Riva owners, in program in Porto Cervo from 8th to 10th August. A NEW AWARD FOR RIVA 68’ EGO: CROATIAN BOAT OF THE YEAR 2006
Chapter three. Since the beginning of this year, the elegant open launched last May in the beautiful landscape of Santa Margherita Ligure has already won three amongst the most important nautic aknowledgements. After the Millennium Yacht Design Award and the prize as European Powerboat of the Year over 50 feet, here it is the Naucat 2006 too. The official award as Croatian Boat of the Year took place on 25th february during the Zagabria Boat Show. This aknowledgement, already got by Rivarama in the year 2003 and last year by Sunriva, confirms once again the success of a boat that, within a short period, has greatly demonstrated to be a real winner. Another Riva jewel, the 68’ Ego, designed as usual by Mauro Micheli and the Officina Italiana Design, enters the legend gaining the Millennium Yacht Design Award 2006. The prestigious prize was assigned during 4th edition of the Seatec, the International Expo of Nautic and Naval Technology that took place in Carrara at the beginning of February. Every year the MYDA awards four boats judged for beauty, design and innovation, among their own categories. This acknowledgment, just as the one received last edition for Sunriva and 85’ Opera, is an important evidence of Riva’s constant willing to realize boats with strongly innovative lines, that can keep alive the classic “Riva style” developing it as modern needs require....more »

SECOND RIVA SUCCESS AT PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO 2006 EDITION
Following last year success, Riva gave an encore at the important kermess in Florence presenting the fashion collection griffed by its brand. The project comes from an agreement with Licensing International srl, company of the Lprojects Group and it can count on the co-operation of the fashion designer Enzo Fusco, who realizes technical jackets, jumpers, shirts and cashmere, cotton and silk pullovers. Riva shoes are instead designed by Alberto Del Biondi. The Fall/Winter Collection 2006 proposes the new Sneaker made of different materials and of different colours, whose central insert in the background reminds the metal effect on the vamp. The essential element of the whole collection still remains the turquoise insert on the back of shoes, whose colour claims and identifies the belonging to Riva brand. Moreover the winter collection keeps continuity with the “Barracuda Riva” model, which got many appreciations in the summer edition and that had been defined the ideal jacket for every occasion.
