An exceptional performance took place in the evening of Tuesday 18th September in the Principality, just one day before the opening of the Monaco Yacht Show’s 17th edition.
The mega yacht in the harbour for the boat show, held from 19th to 22nd September 2007, acted as a wonderful landscape for the French presentation of the brand new SportRiva 56’.
The ultimate Riva, officially presented in Cannes the week before, was put at disposal in exclusive for Riva owners, who were given the chance to admire and visit it at the end of the annual gala night organized for the opening of the Monegasque boat show by Monaco Boat Service, historic Riva dealer. Beside the new pearl of the shipyard on Lake Iseo, guests could also visit the personal exposition of Raimondo Galeano, the emerging artist winner of the Riva Art Trophy 2007, an artistic contest linked to the summer Riva meeting held in July on the Cote d’Azur. The paintings, most of which were inspired by Riva world, were exposed in the MBS tunnel until the end of the boat show, surrounded by examples of classic Riva wooden boats perfectly restored.
Also the Monaco Yacht Show reserved a display able to enchant the visitors who, for the first time, had the chance to admire side by side the two “over size” marvels of Riva: 85’ opera Super and 115’ Athena.
As usual masterpieces of elegance and design, these two jewels of worldwide pleasure boating represent the top of the Riva fleet, allowing the shipyard to enter from the front door in the mega yacht market.
