Three exciting days, full of surprises and dedicated to fun and relax. This can easily be the summary of the 5th edition of the Riva Trophy, the summer event which has already become a “must” for Riva owners. This year it has taken place from 8th to 10th August in Porto Cervo. 20 boats have taken part to the event, representing the Shipyard’s production: from Aquarama to Corsaro, from Tropicana to Mercurius and the current production like Aquariva, Rivarama and Rivale. The opening night at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda has also been the occasion to launch to exclusive guests the brand new 63’ Vertigo, the ultimate top luxury open produced by Riva. The harmonic and sensual line of the boat has emerged from the night shadows, enlightened by a full moon dimmed light, accompanied by the Traviata notes and by a light breeze, suspending the time and leaving all the attendants just ecstatic. The day after, the navigation skills competition has occupied the participants in a course from the Pevero Gulf to Olbia Boat Service, Sardinian headquarters of Nautica Casarola, historical Riva dealer. Later on, the owners have tested their artistic skills and aroused the curiosity of the other boats moored in the Cala di Volpe while fitting out their motor yachts in “Red & Silver” colours of Audi, Riva partner also on this occasion. The event has ended with a gala dinner at the Starwood Hotel & Resort Cala di Volpe, during which the winners have been awarded. Two fibreglass historical models, the Black Corsair and the Tropicana, has won respectively the navigation and elegance competitions, while a special jury prize has awarded the bubbly creativity, shown during the elegance competition, of the Rivale “la chica” crew.
