A GOLDEN RIVARAMA ENCHANTS AUSTRALIA
It was held from 24th to 27th May in the wonderful frame of the Gold Coast, Australia, the Sanctuary Cove boat show. Riva, that was present with one of its main models, the 44 footer Rivarama in an incredibly elegant Chocolate Brown version, immediately gained an amazing success among the public come to admire it. Rivarama’s classic and elegant lines, that together with Aquariva has been chosen to be the Riva ensign and one of the representative of luxury and Made in Italy in Australia, represented the primary attraction at the boat show on the East Coast. RIVA EXCLUSIVITY CHARMS HOLLAND
Riva and Rolls Royce histories cross once again. The two main representative of luxury and exclusivity in the pleasure motor boating and automobile industries, in fact, were have been the protagonists of the Muideterranee event organized by Lengers Yachts, Riva exclusive dealer for the Netherlands, held from 20th to 22nd April 2007 at its office in Muiden. Once again the model chosen to represent the brand was the Rivarama, the 44 feet “floating suite” whose mahogany deck and elegant lines lead it to be considered the modern evolution of the mythic Aquarama. Exposed next to a brand new model of the well known car brand, the Riva yacht enchanted the lucky participants, who were given the chance to visit it. Furthermore in the harbour another Rivarama, an Aquariva and a Rivale were also exposed. These models were chosen as ideal representatives of the Riva modern evolution....more »

BMW-Z8 PARADE AT RIVA SHIPYARD
A true parade that of the Z8 that visited the Riva shipyard in Sarnico on Saturday 19th May. 68 examples of the special edition produced by the German car firm between 2000 and 2003, visiting Italy in order to participate also to the Millemiglia, the race for historical cars that has its start and arrival in Brescia. The lucky participants to the BMW meeting had the chance to visit the shipyard, usually not opened to public, admiring how and where the jewels of the sea are produced....more »

LEARNING PROMOTION AND INNOVATION AT RIVA’S
The second edition of the Scholarship entitled to “Franco Lombardini” at the Univeristà degli Studi of Modena and Reggio Emilia was held on Tuesday 16th May at 6.00 pm. During the event, promoted by the Rotary Club of Reggio Emilia, it was held a conference whose title was “Education, Innovation and Enterprises” by Ferruccio Rossi, Riva CEO. The shipyard, always caring about education and innovation, was chosen as the best example of synergies and knowledge. The educational heritage linked to the long history of Riva in the production of pleasure boats, in fact, is a real a mile stone in the nautical history worldwide....more »

HAPPY AQUARIVA CENTO MR PRESIDENT!
An amazing hot and sunny day, with some waves on the lake created by a warm breeze. This was the frame within which it was delivered the Aquariva Cento of Mr. Ferretti, Chairman of Riva and the Ferretti Group, this boat being one of the ten units of the limited edition. The whole shipyard participated enthusiastically to the delivering ceremony, proud to receive the compliments by this new owner (although he’s not really that new, owning already three Riva historical models both in wood and in fibreglass). After having baptized the boat with a bottle of champagne, frightening a little the workers of the Aquariva production line who were already thinking about having to restore their jewel just carefully finished, President Ferretti also joked with the historical representatives of the shipyard, congratulating with everyone for the excellent results got in these last seven years. The building of 11 new models and the increasing of the production year after year are in fact the results of the passion and the dedication to work of all the employees, who renewed on this occasion their trust to the Group and his Chairman. People who are proud to be part of such an important reality that for more than 160 years has been playing the main role in the past, present and future history of pleasure boating industry....more »

An enchanting terrace above the sea and directly facing the three models exposed at the Molo Luise in Mergellina. AQUARIVA, THE NEW PEARL OF THE QUEEN OF THE ORIENT
It opened on April 5th the 2007 Shanghai Boat Show, where Riva was present with its new exclusive dealer, Shanghai Horizon Yacht. Until Sunday 8th April, the visitors of the most important Chinese boat show had the chance to admire closer the very first Aquariva ever arrived in China. The model immediately enchanted the inhabitants of the “Paris of the Orient”, exactly as it keeps doing all over the world since 2001, the year when it was launched. The first model presented after the joining of Riva to the Ferretti Group in the year 2000, in fact, established its international supremacy in just five years, already becoming a cult boat for worldwide collectors. Officially presented to the Chinese and the international public and press just after the opening ceremony of the boat show at the Riva stand located in the central square, Aquariva imposed right away itself as the main attraction of the event. This was also due to the fact that just next to it another product symbol of worldwide luxury and timeless beauty was positioned, a superb Rolls Royce. Through the years the two brands have often been compared one to the other and for a while they cruised their histories, being both part of the same Group in the early ‘90s. THE 68’ EGO LANDS IN KOREA
It arrived on March 21st after a 25 days trip that carried it from the La Spezia Gulf, where it was built, to Pusan, in South Korea. The 68’ Ego is the biggest Riva model, among the ones currently in production, ever arrived in Asia. Already celebrated with the election as Best European Powerboat of the Year, with the winning of the Millennium Yacht Design Award and with the publication in the ADI Index 2006 volume, the pure and elegant lines of the Riva open launched less than two years ago (May 2005) immediately enchanted the exclusive dealer for Korea, Aju Autorental, appointed in October 2006, that didn’t want to miss it. The arrival of the 68’ Ego in Korea is part of the project managing to increase the Riva presence on Asian market that the shipyard started developing a few years ago and that let to the appointing of a Far East Area Manager. His task is to monitor and wide the sales network on the Asian territory, choosing partners able to promote the brand in the luxury products segment, just as it is already positioned in Europe and in the US....more »

A special evening livened up Frankfurt on March 30th 2007. The wonderful frame of King Kamehameha Suite, in fact, hosted for the first time the Traders’ Night, a gala night sponsored by some among the most famous international brands leading in their market fields. Among these, it could not miss Riva. Guests who had access to the gala evening, representing the German managing class, enjoyed a pleasant night that ended with an amusing tombola. Riva, which was present with its German exclusive dealer, Poroli Special Boats, created in the extraordinary palace located at mid-town, a special Riva Lounge furnished following the style has made the boats of the shipyard on Lake Iseo so famous all around the world. RIVA AND THE ITALIAN ARMY. A STRONG PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN TWO SYMBOLS OF THE “BEL PAESE”
The Italian Army confirmed on Thursday March 22nd the partnership that has been linking it to Riva for two years. After participating to the 2005 and 2006 editions of the Riva Helicopter Meeting with some of its most important combat and aid means, an A129 Mangusta and a SICORSKY HH3F, this year the Army paid tribute to the shipyard visiting the historical headquarter on Lake Iseo with two other helicopters of its fleet: an Agusta Bell 412, a multi-role model also the Service is issued with, and an Agusta 109, mostly used with transfer purposes. The two aircrafts, owned by the Friuli Airmobile Brigade, arrived at the shipyard at 11 am. They were piloted by hand-picked officers from the 7th Army Aviation Regiment “Vega” based in Rimini. The group was leaded by the Brigadier General pilot Francesco Arena, born in 1957 and already commander of many peace operations in the Middle East and in the Balkans, as well as Defence Attaché in the Italian Embassy of Islamabad, in Pakistan, between 2003 and 2006. After visiting the shipyard, the pilots offered the lucky public an astonishing flying show above the lake, speeding just a couple of metres above an Aquariva put at disposal for this special occasion. This official visit sealed the friendship between Riva and the Italian Army, further strengthening the relationship the units these two important symbols, whose common goal is to represent at the most the “Bel Paese” both in Italy and abroad. NO RIVALS FOR RIVALE AT THE DUBAI BOAT SHOW
Even this year Rivale enjoyed an amazing success at the Dubai International Boat Show, held from 14th to 17th March 2007. The 52 feet open boat characterized by a gritty and strong profile was chosen to represent Riva at the most important boat show in the UAE, whose size keeps growing year after year, already becoming a reference also for the Far East market. Riva was present at the boat show with its dealer in exclusivity for the Emirates, Isora Yachts, and renewed on this occasion its interest for the Middle East market, one of the markets with the highest potential of growth and one all the boating industry is putting its trust in. The novelties with which Riva presented itself to the public of the boat show were numerous: first of all a brand new stand perfectly following the new striped corporate identity. Moreover for the first time at this boat show Riva was represented by its three Spanish dealers: Ibiza Yacht Service (exclusive dealer for the Balearic Islands), Ventura Yachts (exclusive dealer for Marbella and the Costa del Sol) and Wunder Nautic (exclusive dealer for Barcelona and Catalonia). RIVA CHARME AND TRADITION AT THE 2007 MIAMI BOAT SHOW
It opened on Thursday February 15th the 2007 edition of the Miami International Boat Show, where Riva put on display the complete fleet of its “smallest”, the open boats from 33 to 52 feet. Moreover, the visitors of the show have the chance to admire until February 19th the continuity of style, elegance and details research that have been characterizing Riva production since ever and that have always remained the same. Next to the current models Sunriva, Aquariva, Rivarama (in an enchanting brand new “Atlantic Blue” colour version) and Rivale, also one of the most classic wooden Rivas is exposed in Miami: the Olympic. Designed in 1968, the year of Mexico Olympics, from which it took its name, this model was one of the major success of Riva production and the last single-engined, wooden-hulled craft produced by the shipyard....more »

They were the most admired models at the Los Angeles boat show. Aquariva and Rivarama, the two motor yachts respectively considered the heir and the natural evolution of the legendary Aquarama, literally conquered the visitors of the Californian show, held from 3rd to 11th February 2007. RIVA ENSIGN OF THE ITALIAN LUXURY AT THE LUXURY&YACHTS SHOW IN VERONA
It opened on Saturday February 10th the ninth edition of the Nautic Show, that takes place contemporaneously with the Luxury&Yachts, the luxury show held in Verona to which the shipyard takes part since the very first year with Nautica Casarola, its historical dealer taking care in exclusivity of the Italian territory. This year two boats are the Riva ensigns representing the excellence of Italian luxury that visitors of the show have the chance to admire until February 18th: the Rivarama, the 44 footer “floating suite” studied expressly for the couple and exposed in the “nautical” pavilion (number 7, stand 711); and the Aquariva Cento, the special and limited edition created to celebrate the hundredth unit produced of the shipyard main model, on display in the pavilion dedicated to the most luxurious products in every field (number 6, stand 648)....more »

CHARITY AUCTION IN THE RIVA GALLERY IN MONACO
The classic wooden Rivas kept in the gallery of Monaco Boat Service, the historical Riva dealer based in the Principality of Monaco that takes care in exclusivity of all the French territory, had been the wonderful frame for a charity auction held on Friday February 2nd. During the night, organized in favour of the MAP, the charity that for more than 20 years has been offering sanitary and educational help in Niger, more than 100 works of art were put on auction. The works had been realized by international artists of the so-called “Art Brut” , coming from the ateliers of numerous Italian Psychiatric hospitals....more »

AQUARIVA: THE TRUE STAR OF 2007 “LA BELLA MACCHINA” EVENT
Jet Aviation Palm Beach and Cavallino Classic magazine hosted on January 25th their 7th annual “La Bella Macchina” event. A private cocktail reception and celebration of Ferraris, private aircraft, yachts and other rarities of life held as usual at the Palm Beach International Airport.
