GREAT EMOTIONS AT THE RIVA "ELIRADUNO"
It has ended after three days of emotion and pleasant moments the first "eliraduno" organized in the history of Riva. Eighteen helicopters owned by Riva boat owners have crossed the skies of Northern Italy for three days, from the Iseo lake (where Riva has its head office) to the “Lido” of Venice, from Adria at the Garda lake, alternating flying and test drives with the new Audi 12 cylinders, a gala dinner at the Excelsior of Venice and the navigation of Riva motorboats. At the end of the long weekend of nice weather, the opinion of the participants was unanimous, to make this kind of event an annual tradition....more »

THE START OF THE FIRST "ELIRADUNO" OF RIVA BOAT OWNERS
It has started Thursday June 23rd, with the gala dinner at Villa Surre, close to Riva Shipyard in Sarnico, the first “eliraduno” for Riva boat owners that love to fly and own a helicopter. About twenty participants, coming with their helicopters from Italy and abroad, have reached Sarnico on the evening. AT PITTI IMMAGINE THE FIRST FASHION COLLECTION SIGNED BY RIVA
Exceptional event in Florence during the exhibition Pitti Immagine Uomo. Riva has, in fact, introduced the first fashion collection signed with its mark. The project comes from a twenty years agreement of worldwide master licence for the Riva brand between Ferretti Group, owner of the brand, and Licensing International srl, company of the Lprojects Group. The Lprojects Group will take care directly about the design, the production and the sale of clothes and accesorizes, while for the extra-sector products (watches, sunglasses, parfumes etc.) Licensing International could work together with leader companies in the sector through sub licence contracts. For the clothes, the fashion designer Enzo Fusco is the one to realise the technical jackets, jumpers and shirts, cashmere , cotton and silk pullovers. The Riva shoes are instead designed by Alberto Del Biondi. The presentation at Pitti was attended by Mr. Norberto Ferretti, president of Ferretti Group and of Riva, Mr. Giancarlo Galeone, Riva CEO and Lorenzo Fasano, CEO, partner of Licensing International and president of Lprojects....more »

The Riva shipyard in Sarnico have been visited recently by the members of the discographic company Edel Music that produces singers such as Lisa Stanfield, Dolcenera and Loredana Berté. The guests arrived in Sarnico with vintage cars like Austin Hailey, Lancia and MG. They have visited all the Riva production lines and have been enchanted by the models Aquariva and Rivale....more »

HISTORIC RACER OF ALL EUROPE AT THE RIVA MEETING
It has been organized on Iseo Lake on the 11 and 12 of June, the second Riva meeting of the season. This meeting has been dedicated to the Racer, the wood race boats that have written the history of the motor boating. Extraordinary the attendance: twenty boats from all Europe, thanks to the personal effort of Guido Romani, one of the most passionate and collectors of the field. Two days of exhibition and demonstration have been enriched by the presence of a vast group of passionate aero modeling that have made fly their hydroplane in miniature, with match sessions between small racer boat models and a true naval battle with ship models perfectly reproduced. Great was the public presence. Saturday evening at Villa Surre, splendid residence close to the Riva shipyard, there was a gala dinner, where the participation certificates were given to the Ship-owners. GABRIELE DEL TORCHIO, THE NEW FERRETTI GROUP CEO, VISITS RIVA
Gabriele Del Torchio that, as from next 1st July will be appointed Ferretti Group CEO, has visited the Riva shipyard in Sarnico. Gabriele Del Torchio, accompanied by Mr. Norberto Ferretti, Ferretti Group and Riva president, by Mr. Paolo Colonna, Permira Fund president, by Mr. Giancarlo Galeone, Ferretti Group Vice-president and Riva CEO, and by Mr Mauro Moretti, Chief Financial Officer, has met the managers of the different departments and has visited all the production lines. Born in Varese, 54, married with two children, the new Ferreti Group CEO has a degree in Economics and previous work experience in top managerial positions in important international groups such as CIFA and New Holland. With the new appointment, Gabriele Del Torchio leaves the role of CEO of Carraro, a woldwide leading company in transmission systems, which is listed on the Italian Stock Exchange. The Ferretti Group, to which Riva belongs since May 2000, is one of the major worldwide group of pleasure boating and includes also brands such as Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama, Bertram, Apreamare, Mochi Craft, Custom Line and CRN. With 2,500 employees, 16 shipyards in Italy and one in the United States, the Ferretti Group has a consolidated turnover of 600 million Euro in the nautical year 2004/2005 (557 in the previous year)....more »

With a big party reserved to the owner and the shipyard workers, for the first time, Saturday 4th June, the new flagship of Riva fleet, Athena 115' has been launched. Produced in the Riva shipyard in La Spezia, the new production unit built for the production of yachts of length over 60', the new 35 meters will be punctually delivered at the end of July, after the presentation to the worlwide press booked for the second half of the same month. Big satisfaction among all participants, in particular Eng. Alberto Castagna, production director of the shipyard in La Spezia and Ing. Francesco Frediani, Riva sales and marketing director. OPEN DAY AT RIVA: A GREAT SUCCESS FOR A HISTORICAL DATE
Saturday June 4th, for the first time in 164 years of history, Riva Shipyard has opened its own gates for the public. More than three thousands visitors, coming from Italy and abroad, could walk through the production lines, see the models produced at the Iseo lake (the ones till 60’, the others originate at the new Shipyard in La Spezia), visit the photographic exhibition organized in occasion of the creation of Riva Historical Archive, and admire the historical boats gathered at the platform for the concomitant meeting supported by Asdec, Association which promotes the recover and the knowledge of the historical boats. It was given to the visitors, a written guide to accompany each one step by step along the almost one thousand meters of path. Numerous were the former Riva employees, now retired, as well as young and youthful ones, astonished especially with the new models. Replete was also the local authorities attendance. In the evening, during the gala dinner at “Villa Surre”, reserved for the participants of the historical meeting, was announced that in face of the great interest of the public and media, the Riva Open Day, in collaboration with the Riva-Asdec meeting, would be an annual appointment, every first weekend of June. RIVA AND THE POLYTECHNIC OF MILAN: A MORE AND MORE INTENSE RELATIONSHIP
Twenty students from the Master Degree in Yacht Design of the Polytechnic in Milan, guided by arch. Federico Maggiulli, have visited Riva shipyard in Sarnico Wednesday 1st June. Just before the beginning of their internalship, that wil see them in the offices of boating design all over Italy, the students met Mr. Giuseppe Meroni, Riva Image and Communication manager and arch. Mauro Micheli, designer of all Riva boats. They have then visited all the production lines and Ram, the shipyard where they restore the vintage Rivas. The initiative of the Polytechnic follows the lecture done by Mrs. Linda Kaiser a few days ago, scientific consultant of Riva Historical Archive. The intervention of Linda Kaiser at the master organised by the Faculty of Architecture was "Museum systems for the conservation and the increase in value not only for a design product (yacht) but also for the location (lake, sea), proposing itself at an international level as a unique cultural reference for pleasure boating"....more »

Big celebration at the Riva shipyard in Sarnico, on the Iseo Lake, for the launch of the last Splendida 72'. Into the presence of the shipowner and workers, the elegant hull got down in the water for the last checks and testing just befor midday of monday, 23rd of May. The definitive delivery to the shipowner, who personally followed with a big interest the fitting out, will be in June. With the production of the last Splendida come to the end another cycle of the Riva story: starting from the nineties with models like Dolcevita and Cantata, now replaced by the new protagonists like the Ego 68', the Opera 85' and - arriving in the next mounths - the 75' Venere. From now on, moreover, will be the new shipyard in La Spezia to follow the production of models over 60', leaving to the shipyard in Sarnico all the range under 60'....more »

Monday,May 2nd in Santa Margherita Ligure (GE), took place in the wonderfull sixteenth century rooms of Villa Durazzo, the congress for the presentation of the Riva Historical Archive. With over 5000 photographic images, films, documents and objects, that testify the 164 years of Riva Shipyard story, the Riva Historical Archive sets the goals to become, since the next mounths, the most complete documental structure in the nautic field. At the same time with the congress, has been opened the exhibition titled “The Mith meets the Story”, with images, documents and objects that support the Riva legend from the beginnig till today. RIVA AND CAPPELLINI: A COOPERATION WORTH A RECORD
At the speed of 256,228 kilometers per hour, a lighting arrow on the waters of the lake Iseo right in front of the hystorical Riva shipyard, Guido Cappellini has set the new world record of speed on water. In front of a crowd of journalists, photographers, cameramen and people coming from all over the world, the Italian champion has regained the title, thus breaking the primacy of the Englishman Alan Marshall established in 2002. Riva took part in the event by cooperating with the champion in the preparation of the race. At the end of the four tries allowed, Cappellini managed to go over 240 kilometers per hour, but that wasn't enough. After a brief pause, he tried one last time reaching the highest of all objectives by going beyond 250 kilometers per hour. There have been lots of celebrations when he returned on land, with his boat escorted by the two official crafts of the exhibition: an Aquariva and a Rivarama....more »

RANDI INGERMAN AND ALESSANDRA SENSINI: THE TWO RIVA PATRONS
The actress Randi Ingerman and the women's windsurf champion Alessandra Sensini have been the official patrons of the exhibition that saw Guido Cappellini as the main protagonist. Randi and Alessandra took part at the speed trials and the breaking of the record on board a Rivarama 44', before celebrating together with the public and the journalists for Guido's success. Afetr that the two patrons did a brief tour of the lake Iseo on a Aquariva, a motorboat of the latest generation and already appreciated in the past months by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta Jones and Julia Roberts. The objective is ambitious: to go beyond 250 kilometers per hour thus establishing a new world record of velocity on water. Guido Cappellini has already been eight times world champion and nobody has, in the history of motorboating, won more than him. Riva, that in the course of its history has significated a lot for world wide motorboating, could not miss out on this appointment, Friday the 29th of April, on the lake right by the hystorical shipyard. This year, from the 5th to the 10th of April, more than 150 boats have been shown, thus conferming the good health of the Croatian market.
