From 20th December to 7th January, Riva will be adding to the festive spirit at Courmayeur. The 27’ yacht, one of the Italian firm’s most successful models, will be on display in front of the Grand Hotel Royal e Golf, and a photographic exhibition dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the Riva Shipyard will be open to visitors in the nearby Torre Malluquin.
Courmayeur, 20th December 2012 _ Riva, a trademark of the Ferretti Group, concludes its celebrations for its 170th anniversary this year by “disembarking” with its unmistakable style at a location in the heart of the Alps at 1,224 metres above sea-level.
The destination chosen to close a year of success is Courmayeur, one of the best-loved tourist centres for the beauty of its ski slopes and for the unmatched panorama offered by Europe’s highest peak, Mont Blanc.
This unique setting provides the backdrop for Riva on Ice, taking place between 20th December and 7th January 2013. The ISEO, Riva’s 27-foot yacht, characterised by elegant lines, cutting-edge technology and great functionality, as it can be placed on a road trailer, will be the protagonist in via Roma, right at the heart of Courmayeur, in front of the Grand Hotel Royal e Golf, the oldest hotel of the valley.
There will also be an exhibition within the old Malluquin, a unique and historic setting, presenting the eventful history of the 170 years of the Italian firm since the boatyard’s foundation at Sarnico on the Lago d’Iseo, and today one of the symbols of Italian-made quality around the world. Its history is dotted with successes, made possible by continuous technological research, by sophisticated design and by an ability to combine past, present and future within a single concept of excellence.
“With Riva on Ice, we intend to inaugurate a series of appointments that will see us the protagonists each year in the most exclusive mountain resorts”, comments Paola Procopio, Riva’s brand manager. “For this first event, which closes the year’s celebrations for the 170th anniversary, we have decided to take ISEO to Courmayeur, as this model is representative of a history that is continually renewing and evolving. This jewel of boatbuilding encloses within it all the values characterising Riva’s DNA – uniqueness, elegance and the greatest attention to detail – while looking to the future with technology that is increasingly at the cutting edge”.
The result of a collaborative effort between Officina Italiana Design, the studio that works on exclusive designs for the Riva range, AYTD - Advanced Yacht Technology and Design – the Ferretti Group’s naval architecture and research centre – and the team of architects and designers from the Centro Stile Ferretti Group, the ISEO is planned as a boat that can be “lived” by the owner wherever he wants. Soft and clean lines together with a careful study of the spaces, plus unique attention for the details and the use of the most sophisticated materials, make the Iseo the noble heir to a century-old history, marked by excellence and the highest craftsmanship. And if the bond with the past is witnessed by the generous use of finely worked mahogany, the emblem of the Riva trademark, Iseo also looks to the future by responding to the growing demand for infotainment on board: it is the first vessel of its kind to be fitted with an entertainment system and GPS charts based on the Apple iPad platform.

NEW RIVA 122' MYTHOS THE FIRST ALUMINIUM PLANING MEGA YACHT BY RIVA
Riva, the iconic brand of the Ferretti Group, launches its new flagship, 122' Mythos. Riva 122’ Mythos, the largest aluminium planing yacht ever produced by the historic shipyard, perfectly transfers the elegance, flair and clean lines featured by all Riva models to a new line built entirely in light aluminium alloy.
Designed by Mauro Micheli of Officina Italiana Design, the team which is in charge of the design of all the models of the Riva range, in close collaboration with AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre, and Centro Stile Ferrettigroup, a skilful team of architects and designers; Riva 122’ Mythos will be produced by the skilled and experienced CRN shipyard in Ancona, the production plant of the Group which is specialized in the construction of mega yachts up to 90 metres.
Riva and CRN, both brands of the Ferretti Group, further strengthen their historic partnership, based on a tradition of constructing Riva maxi yachts at the shipyard. This strong partnership which has joined together two of the major protagonists of the international pleasure boating industry for more than 40 years, started in 1970 when Carlo Riva decided to terminate the agreement signed with the Dutch shipyard with whom he had been working until that period. This shift proved to be successful and led between 1970 and 1978 to the launch of five 23.50 metre motor yachts of the Marco Polo series and two Vespucci of 90 and 100 feet designed by the Carlo Riva Yacht Division.

Andrea Frabetti, Product Development Director of Ferretti Group, states: "Riva 122’ Mythos is the first model of Riva’s mega yachts completely made in light aluminium alloy. This planning model shall feature high technology and comfort, with top of the range and interesting performance. In this period, any project should be focused on consumption and range. This model, in particular, features a shaft line propulsion system with propellers designed for the utmost efficiency. The active stabilization system completes this project, entirely focused on the utmost comfort”.
Mauro Micheli, who founded Officina Italiana Design together with Sergio Beretta, explains the idea which inspired the new masterpiece by Riva: “Explaining a craft and its project is always more difficult than designing it. The idea and the line of the new 122’ took 10 minutes, but the difference stands in the time dedicated to the definition of details, those making this model unique. 122’ Mythos represents the 'large scale continuation’ of the Domino, a model which got through the crisis in the most complicated period. I am never completely satisfied with my job, but in the case of 122’ Mythos I repeat what I said for the Domino: this craft comes from instincts, this is why it will be awarded. The careful but not aggressive design will make this yacht a milestone of the nautical sector, just like Aquariva, Rivarama, Rivale, which are still being produced after so many years post-launch. The synergy we found with the Ferretti Group makes us stronger in our work. Together, instinct comes to light, embodied by a new model. This is a new chapter of Riva's history".
The new flagship of Riva is more than 37 metre long and 7.60 metre wide. The planing aluminium hull gets to a peak speed of 27 knots, with a cruising speed of 25 knots, thanks to two MTU 12 V 4000 M 93L engines (preliminary data).
The extremely elegant and spacious exteriors allow enjoying the time spent cruising together. The large main deck cockpit features a large and comfortable sun pad and a table which can host up to ten people. The salon and the dinette have large windows with an amazing panoramic view and are connected to the helm station; the wide galley, which can also br accessed from the crew area of the lower deck, is located to the front of the deck, after the helm station.
The lower deck, amidships,hosts the owner’s suite and the guest cabins while the crew area (one captain cabin and two twin crew cabins) is located to the bow. There are three possible layouts, with three, four or five cabins according to the owner’s request.From the cockpit on the main deck it is possible to access the aft bathing platform which separates the two garage hatches, designed to host the tender (approximately 5 metres long) to the left and the jet sky to the right. The platform has been designed with an electro hydraulic system which allows users to safely plunge into the water or dive from the aft area.
Large glass side windows guarantee a high quantity of light under deck.
The sun deck, which can be accessed from an external ladder, was designed to offer the owner and his guests the utmost comfort; featuring a Jacuzzi swimming pool surrounded by wide sun-bathing sofas, with a dinette area and foldable table. There is also a second retractable helm station.

Ft. Lauderdale, FL. October 25, 2012 – The Ferretti Group, a world leader in the design, construction and sale of motor-yachts, comprising a unique portfolio of some of the most exclusive and prestigious brands in the nautical world, presents its new corporate operating structure, focused on a stronger localized sales and distribution presence in key markets with the integration of the North America and Latin American markets and a stronger presence at the 53rd Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Throughout the last 12 months, the Group has undergone a series of notable accomplishments, including a new shareholding structure, a new organizational structure and another record sales year for the American markets.
Through the new strategic partnership with the Weichai Group, which acquired a controlling interest in the Ferretti Group, and under the leadership of newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Ferruccio Rossi, the Group has reorganized the corporate operating structure with a focus on further strengthening the Group’s unique brands and its centralized product development and engineering capabilities. The new organization will focus on the distinctive individuality of the brands with the product development, manufacturing and brand management teams in Italy focused on the ‘made in Italy’ tradition. This new directive will also implement a more globalized sales, marketing, and service footprint with a localized operating presence in each region, specifically Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA), the Americas and Asia-Pacific (APAC). The result of this new corporate structure will be a ‘Glocal’ approach combining the world’s most extensive and diversified product and brand offering, designed and built by the Ferretti Group in Italy, and in America for Bertram, with a localized distribution and service network in each region.
The Group also announced that Founder, Norberto Ferretti, will remain strongly vested in the Ferretti Group, serving as Honorary Chairman, where he will actively participate in guiding and advising the product development and engineering teams in new model development. Mr. Ferretti will also continue his role as an advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and as an ambassador to the group representing the organization and its brands.

In alignment with its strategic goals, the Ferretti Group recently announced a new operating structure where several key executives will take on new roles and responsibilities. Consistent with the Group’s strategy to strengthen the international presence of CRN in the super yacht sector, Lamberto Tacoli will concentrate on leading the CRN organization as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CRN with full responsibility for the management and operations of the CRN business. Mauro Frattesi will continue in his role as Chief Technical Officer for the Group and will also oversee the development and management of the Group in the Asia-Pacific region as President and Chief Executive Officer of Asia-Pacific. Andrea Frabetti will take on a new role leading Advanced Yacht Technology Design, the naval research and design center for the Ferretti Group. In line with efforts to further strengthen the Group’s Brands, James Henderson has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer and Antonio Campagnuolo has been appointed as Head of Product Management, where he will lead a team of specialists for each brand that are responsible for driving and implementing new product development, configuration and specifications for each model.
The Ferretti Group continues to build on its success in the Americas where the Group completed a record year of sales in the American market for the second consecutive year. The successful operating model in North America will be used as a benchmark for the Europe and Asia-Pacific region with centrally localized inventory and a team of local sales specialists for each brand as part of the sales organization. Complementing the existing offices at Ferretti Group America, the Group will also be launching a brand new retail concept showroom in Palm Beach on Worth Avenue this November.
The Latin American markets continue to be a strong growth region for the Ferretti Group. The Group is focused on expanding the distribution infrastructure and developing new clients in key Latin America markets including Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, Panama, Dominican Republic and Colombia while fostering new interest for luxury yachts in Peru, Uruguay, and Argentina.
“Our Americas market is coming off the strongest year to date with record sales for both Pershing and Custom Line and an unprecedented order book schedule for the 2012-2013 Nautical Year” stated Ferruccio Rossi, Ferretti Group CEO. “The Group has significantly reinforced the strategic importance of its Americas organization and will continue to strengthen its presence in the west and east coast of North America along with growing its dealer presence in Latin America”, added Rossi.
Over the last 18 months the Ferretti Group has invested a significant amount of resources into the re-launch of Bertram Yacht, the iconic sport fishing brand. This has comprised of relocating the Bertram manufacturing operations to a new state of the art production facility in Merritt Island, Florida and strengthening the Bertram management team with key hires of top industry talent in product development, engineering, manufacturing, sales and operations.
The Ferretti Group will continue to implement its strategy for Allied Marine, which will concentrate exclusively on brokerage of pre-owned yachts and charter operations and is currently exploring the opportunity to expand the brokerage and charter arm into Europe and the Asia Pacific region.

The Pershing 108’ gives new meaning to the concept of technological versatility. Meticulously designed to meet the owner’s needs, with environmentally sound technology and high performance create this one-of-a-kind model. The Pershing 108’ features a beautifully aggressive profile andis revolutionizing the concept of on-board living. Created by yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, in cooperation with Ferretti Group's AYT (Advanced Yacht Technology) and the team of architects of Centro Stile Ferrettigroup, owners and their guests become protagonists in the Pershing 108’ as the radically innovative internal layout features areas which can be modified to suit any owners needs. Expert design can be admired throughout the vessel, working with well-established partners such as Poltrona Frau and Ernesto Meda. The Pershing 108 features a full beam master cabin, a large VIP at the bow, and two guest cabins that can accommodate 6 guests and five crew members as well as plenty of space for entertaining. The performance of Pershing 108 is fully in line with Pershing’s brand, notoriously known for its speed, and features one important innovation. For the first time ever, the shipyard has decided to fit three engines on one of its models, focussing on maintaining environmental high performance. The standard version is powered by three 1815kw MTU diesel engines, combined with the thrust applied by three Arneson surface propellers , driving her to a speed of 41 knots. Specifically, achieving extraordinary range when operating at 11 knots for 1070 nautical miles.
The new Pershing 74' is a contemporary and modern restyling of the unforgettable Pershing 72', a status symbol of the brand, created by yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, in cooperation with Ferretti Group's AYT (Advanced Yacht Technology) and the team of architects of Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. Measuring 74 feet in length and 18 feet wide, this new model can reach a maximum speed of 44 knots, while maintaining a high level of comfort. The Pershing 74 features a design characterized by light and cutting-edge technology. Its distinctive personality is immediately visible from its external profile, which is even sleeker than that of its predecessor due to the new shape of its larger side windows and elongated superstructure that includes a sundeck fitted with an electrohydraulic carbon fiber staircase that can be hidden away into the overhang. The Pershing 74' features a spacious master cabin and two guest cabins that can accommodate 6 passengers and two crew members, due to its strategic layout below-deck, which grants unmatched onboard comfort. Strong character, volumes and plenty of light are showcased throughout the craft and due to these outstanding features the Pershing 74' has become one of the leading models in the range, having all the stylistic features that make this brand unique worldwide.
Riva Venere Super
The 75’ Venere Super is a restyling of one of Riva’s most widely appreciated models. Its interiors and exteriors have been entirely renovated to offer more comfort when cruising and optimizing onboard space. The yacht is the result of the cooperation between the designers of Officina Italiana Design (the design firm that exclusively designs all Riva yachts), AYT -Advanced Yacht Technology (Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre), and the team of architects and designers of the Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. The color of the hull is Roman Bronze and the superstructure Riva Cream. The flybridge of the new 75' Venere Super has been enriched with a hard top featuring an elegant, aerodynamic line and a comfortable, six seat sofa ensuring the owner's total ease of use. The stern opens out onto a spacious swim platform, the best solution for free time and practicing water sports. A large window fitted in the hull provides an unusual, very pleasant view of the surface of the water, ensuring more natural light for the guest cabins, especially for the full-beam Master cabin. The Riva 75 Venere Super features one master cabin and two guest cabins and can accommodate 12 passengers and 2 crew members. The latter features a study area, vanity unit with foldaway sectionpouf, LCD television and walk-in closet. Each cabin has direct access to an en-suite head, and the guest cabins have twin beds that can be pushed together to make one if necessary.

The Riva 63' Virtus reinterprets the concept of an open yacht with this new model that has true Mediterranean style and design characteristics typical of the legendary Riva yachts characterized by their unmistakable elegance, class, refinement and clean lines. These qualities are found in the new Riva 63' Virtus, the newest flagship of the Riva open yachts, a model designed to endure. The exteriors feature spacious areas which enable owners to enjoy the yacht in the company of their guests, also due to two large sundecks, one at bow and one astern, under which the garage for the tender is located. The open-air entertainment element of the yacht is also extended to the helm area where the driving seat consists of a three seat sofa, enabling owners to share the pleasure of driving the yacht with their guests. The interior utilizes all available space by featuring a large salon without having to reduce the size of the galley. The Riva 63 Virtus can accommodate 10 passengers and one crew member. The master cabin is located portside astern with an en-suite head and set slightly lower maximizing headroom. The guest cabin, located port-side amidships, features bunk beds set out in an L-shape, which offer a pleasant panoramic view of the surface of the water. The VIP cabin is set at bow and also includes an en-suite head with a day head being located across.
The Riva Iseo, the perfect blend of history and innovation, is one of the newest gems to be launched by Riva. The 27 foot runabout showcases all of Riva’s elegant lines and is destined to become a must-have for those who love cruising on both lakes and sea. The design savvy model is also perfect for anyone wishing to enhance their yacht with an exclusive tender that will never go unnoticed and comes equipped with her own custom-made cartrailer, allowing for easy transportation wherever an owner wishes to go. The Iseo also meets the increasing demand for onboard infotainment, as the first boat in her class to be equipped with an entertainment system and GPS charting based on the Apple iPAD platform. RIVA was represented by AdBrands Marine (PTY)LTD - exclusive Riva agent for Southern Africa, Mauritius and Seychelles - at the CAPE TOWN BOAT SHOW held in October, from 12th to 14th, in the CTICC (Cape Town International Convention Centre). This new mega conferencing and exhibition facility, built with Table Mountain as backdrop at the entrance of the world famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, was packed with boating and marine related exhibitors representing the world’s top nautical brands. Like last year, RIVA stole the show in 2012 as well with a magnificent “new RIVA lifestyle” exhibition standat the entrance to the show, serving complimentary Champagne and canapés to all visitors to the RIVA stand.
A brand new Lamborghini Gallardo in metallic white, branded “RIVA” was parked immediately outside the entrance to the show, further attracting attention to “The Good Life”, everything Italian and the RIVA brand. Attended by 17,000 people over a three day period, the show was a resounding success. AdBrands Marine has received interest in a new 92’ Duchessa, the SportRiva 56’ and an order of hull no. 83 of the Rivale 52’, which has just come off the production line.

The exhibition is made even more interesting by the Mochi Craft Waichichi, a wood hull dating back to 1962, and a scale model of the M/Y CRN F100, the 33 meter maxi yacht of the Agnelli family, built in 1963.

The yacht perfectly combines two creative styles: on the one hand, the fibreglass hull – in Gucci's typical polished white – on the other, mahogany – which is the ‘signature’ on all Riva crafts – lining the dashboard, the deck, the cockpit flooring, the awning cover hatch, and the fender bar. The waterproof fabric lining the seats and the sundeck are characterised by the Guccissima print, while the sun pads stand out for the beauty of white cotton upholstery. The famous green-red-green band running along the waterline is yet another stylish element making this yacht really unique.

Cannes, 10 September 2012– The Ferretti Group, among the world leaders in designing, building and marketing motoryachts, with a unique portfolio of some of the most exclusive and prestigious brands in the nautical world, inaugurated the new nautical year as a protagonist, exhibiting, at the 35th edition of the Festival International de la Plaisance in Cannes, a substantial fleet consisting of 24 boats, 5 of which in world premiere: Ferretti 870, Ferretti 690, Pershing 82’, Riva 63’, Virtus and Mochi Craft Dolphin 64 Cruiser.
In addition, the traditional Ferretti Group Meeting was held once again this year, at the Cannes Boat Show. This is the tenth edition, during which, in front of a large audience of employees, dealers, clients, suppliers and the media, the Founder and Honorary Chairman, Norberto Ferretti, the new President, Tan Xuguang, and the new CEO, Ferruccio Rossi, gave the first report on the nautical year and introduced the renewed corporate structure formed after the capital inflow in the Ferretti Group of Weichai, The Royal Bank of Scotland and the Strategic Value Partners, as well as the Group’s objectives for the coming months.
In fact, thanks to important synergies, the sharing of resources and the new strategic partnership with Weichai, the Ferretti Group is aiming at reducing the costs and strengthening the marketing channel and the after-sales services, as well as focusing on a strategy to further expand on international and emerging markets, specifically the Asia Pacific region, a strategic area for the future growth of nautical business, where sales have increased by 30%. In addition, having found patrimonial and financial standing, the Ferretti Group will continue to support its plans to develop in Latin America, as well as on the traditional European and United States markets, on which the Group has steadily maintained its position, and where the results achieved allow it to look ahead, confident that it will maintain its leadership, especially as regards the North American area.
Throughout the nautical year, the Ferretti Group focused on the Asia Pacific Area, by participating in the main boat shows and nautical and luxury events in Thailand, China – in Hainan, Shanghai and Qingdao – in Singapore, in South Korea and Japan, as well as Australia and India.
Moreover, the Ferretti Group keeps registering good performance in Brasil, where it has been present for over 20 years, taking pride in its leading position in the Country, and where the Ferrettigroup Brasil was official inaugurated over a year ago. On the other hand, as regards the remaining part of Latin America, the Group is carrying out a series of marketing activities with the objective of further developing the key markets such as Mexico, Venezuela, Panama, Colombia and the Dominican Republic, as well as establishing new relations with other key areas where interest in luxury yachts is strongly increasing, namely Perù, Uruguay and Argentina.
Finally, as regards North America, the first market on an international scale for the nautical sector, the Ferretti Group has continued to further reinforce its presence and to expand its distributive network. In fact, to confirm this strategy, last May, the Group started moving the Bertram Yacht productive plants from the historical premises in Miami to the modern and strategic marina on Merritt Island, in Florida, USA. The new manufacturing plants will be in an area of almost 14,000 square metres and will be absolutely in the forefront with the objective of further innovating the Bertram boat range.

RIVA 63’ VIRTUS
Class, refinement and elegance are the most important elements of the new 63’ Virtus, the largest open yacht, which is the product of the close working relationship between Officina Italian Design, AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology and the Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. It is at the cutting-edge for her on-board technological equipment. Featuring twin 1360mhp MAN 12V engines, the new 63’ Virtus delivers an excellent performance, with a top speed of 40.5 knots and a cruise speed of 35 thanks to the tested hull equipped with direct shaft line tunnel propulsion. The exteriors and interior fittings have been studied in order to attain the very best availability in terms of space and on-board comfort. The master cabin has been enriched with a bed with a leather stitching finish. The slightly lower position of the cabin makes it possible to use all the space available. Forlì, 03rd August 2012 - The Board of directors chaired by Ferretti Group Chairman Tan Xuguang has unanimously appointed Ferruccio Rossi as the new Managing Director. Ferruccio Rossi, who has been working for the Group as Riva Managing Director and Ferretti Group Country Manager since 2005, will replace Giancarlo Galeone, who has ended his mandate after CEO Salvatore Basile’s sudden death.
Furthermore, Norberto Ferretti becomes the Honorary Chairman. Chairman Tan and Norberto Ferretti, even on behalf of the entire Group, thank Giancarlo Galeone for the important contribution he has always given to the Ferretti Group through his know-how and professionalism.
These appointments will ensure the most absolute continuity to the Ferretti Group in the course of a further development that started after the power acquisition by SHIG-Weichai Group. Tan Xuguang, Chairman of Ferretti Group
Tan Xuguang, Chinese, was born in 1961, senior economist and doctor of engineering.
Mr. Tan joined Weifang Diesel Engine Factory in 1977 had held various positions including chairman and chief executive officer of Shandong Weichai Import and Export Co., Ltd.; assistant chief executive officer, vice executive officer and chief executive officer of Weifang Diesel Engine Factory; chairman of Torch Automobile Group Co., Ltd, etc.
Now he is the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Weichai Power Co., Ltd. (HK2338´╝îSZ000338), chairman of Weichai Group Holdings Limited, and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. At the same time, he also serves as the vice chairman of China Enterprise Confederation and China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association.
He was appointed as a Representative of the Tenth and Eleventh National People’s Congress of the PRC and was honored “National Labor Model”, “China’s Outstanding Entrepreneurs”, “the Gold Award of the 4th Yuan Baohua Enterprise Management”, “CCTV 2005 China Economic Annual Figure” and “CCTV 2010 China Economic Annual Figure”.
Ferruccio Rossi, Ferretti Group Managing Director
Ferruccio Rossi took his degree in Business Economics at “L. Bocconi” University in Milan in 1995. In 1999 he attended the Business Financial Program at the London Business School. From 1995 to 1998 Ferruccio Rossi worked as Consultant for the KPMG Consulting, gaining experience from several industrial sectors. In 1998 he was member of Investment Banking Team of ING Barings and in 1999 he became the Manager of Investment Banking Team of JP Morgan Chase &Co., coordinating a lot of fusion and acquisition operations.
From 2001 to 2005 Ferruccio Rossi was the manager of Permira firm in Milan. Here he worked in the field of investments evaluation, administrating societies that allocate public services. Furthermore, he was a member of the Ferretti Administrative Council and of Grandi Navi Veloci S.p.A. From 2005 to nowadays he was the General Manager for Riva and he became the Managing Director in September 2006. Before his new appointment as Ferretti Group Managing Director, he occupied the role of Ferretti Group America Country Manager.

Riva celebrates 170 years
THE CÔTE D’AZUR WAS A MARVELLOUS SETTING FOR THE PRESENTATION OF THE LATEST MODEL OF THE RIVA OPEN RANGE, THE NEW 63’ VIRTUS, AND THE CELEBRATION OF THE 170TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BRAND.
Sarnico, 6th July 2012 – An intense and extraordinary adventure, in a marvellous setting, for one of the most famous yacht market. Riva, a Ferretti Group brand, has played an important role in a number of events that took place from June 29th to July 1st. These events aimed at celebrating its history and pointed out future development strategies, through the exclusive preview of the 63’ Virtus, the latest model of the open range.
The new model results, as always, from the cooperation among Officina Italiana Design, the team which is in charge of the design of all the models of the Riva range, AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology, Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre, and the Centro Stile Ferrettigroup, a skilful team of architects and designers.
The events dedicated to Riva started with the presentation of the boat to the international sales network and to the customers of the brand. On Friday 29th the guests of the gala dinner had the opportunity to admire, during an amazing world preview, the 63’ Virtus at the St. Tropez dike, the same location of the sea trials of the following day. All guests had the opportunity to discover the details of the new open range.
Riva 63’ closed the Aquarama Parade in Montecarlo on the 30th June. This event symbolically represented the union between the past and the near future of the brand. The parade was organized by the Monaco Boat Service, the historical Riva dealer in the Principality of Monaco, with the objective of tracing the 50 years of the model that made Riva a world icon.
The press conference was held in the marvellous setting of the Monaco Yacht Club on 2nd July. On this occasion, the new model has officially been presented and tested by a lot of journalists.
There have been many unforgettable moments, such as: the “Riva Trophy”, an annual competition dedicated to Riva owners, that took place on the Montecarlo - St. Tropez route on 29th and 30th June and the evening party to celebrate the 90-year-old engineer Carlo Riva, who remembered some of the most important stages of the Riva brand.

Surfing starts at the home page, “Tribute to Riva, an emotional journey through 170 years of style” from which one can access the three main features: the “Timeline”, which is subdivided in turn into “The Origins”, “La Dolce Vita” and “the Modern Age”; the special on the Aquarama model and finally the “Multimedia Galleries”.
Every subsection narrates the highlights of the history of Riva, from the “Origins” up to “The Modern Age”, outlining the moments that have made the brand renowned worldwide. 63' VIRTUS: RIVA, THE LARGEST OPEN IS BORN
Riva, iconic Ferretti Group brand, announces the birth of the new flagship of their open line, featuring racy exteriors with a strong personality: 63’ Virtus, is the largest open yacht produced by the shipyard, characterised by an unmistakable style and a distinctly Mediterranean character.
The new model is the product of a close working relationship between Officina Italiana Design, the studio that exclusively designs all yachts in the Riva range, the AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, the Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre, and the team of architects and designers at Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. 63’ Virtus has been designed as a sporty yacht, created for owners wishing to experience the sea first hand.
Riva reinterprets the concept of an open yacht with a model featuring a typical Mediterranean style which maintains the unmistakable elegance of all the shipyard’s models: class, refinement and clean lines. These are also found in and on the new 63’ Virtus, flagship of the Riva opens, a model designed to last. Created following the lines of the Vertigo, a classical, highly successful Riva model, 63’ Virtus recaptures the strong character of the Rivale, another Riva open boat which has marked the shipyard’s history, but uses larger spaces which guarantee excellent liveability and total on-board comfort.
The exteriors feature spacious areas which enable owners to enjoy the yacht in the company of their guests, also thanks to two large sundecks, one at bow and one astern, under which the garage for the tender is located. This sociable aspect of the yacht is also extended to the helm area, where the driving seat consists of a three seater sofa, enabling owners to share the pleasure of driving the yacht with their guests. Moreover, it is protected by a large windshield with a double curve which ensures comfort while cruising. The cockpit is spacious, comfortable and equipped with a fridge, sink and – upon request – a grill. In the cockpit there are three sofas, one of which L-shaped, located on the port hand side, one astern and a third equipped with a system which slides and enables it to move closer to the varnished teak table which has a flip up section. Moreover, the cockpit is covered with a large, electro-hydraulically operated bimini which can also be kept open whilst running.
Typical of Riva, the class and attention to fine detail is evident in the cleats and in the electric winches skilfully concealed to ensure aesthetic fluidity. Painstaking attention has also been paid to creating the functional, well-designed instrument mast in line with the style of all Riva open models.
The interior fittings have been studied in such a way as to attain the very best availability in terms of space and comfort, with a large salon which makes it possible to place a wooden table, able to accommodate up to six in this area, without having to reduce the size of the galley. 63’ Virtus is a yacht featuring contrasts of colour and materials: the alternation between the light shades of the oak and darker ones of the leather, and between the opaque and polished lacquering create a style which gives the new model a further touch of modern style without forgetting the traditional elegance of all Riva yachts.
The master cabin is located portside astern and set slightly lower than the other two, and has been enriched with a bed with a leather stitching finish. The slightly lower position of the cabin makes it possible to use all the space available. The guest cabin, also located port-side midships, features bunk beds, set out in an L-shape which offers a pleasant panoramic view of the surface of the water. The master and VIP cabins, set at bow, both feature en-suite heads, whilst the day head is located opposite the guest cabin.
The harmonious profile and racy lines of the yacht are further emphasised by the large arrow-shaped side windows, which have made so many other Riva models successful and guarantee excellent natural lighting below deck. The unusual features of the hull and teak of the deck and part of the cockpit, together with the many details in stainless steel, contribute to making the 63’ Virtus both modern and sporty.

TECHNOLOGY AND PERFORMANCE
The new Riva 63’ Virtus is also at the cutting-edge for her on-board technological equipment. Featuring twin 1360mhp MAN 12V engines, the new Riva 63’ Virtus delivers an excellent performance, with a top speed of 40.5 knots and a cruise speed of 35 thanks to the tried and tested hull equipped with direct shaft line tunnel propulsion. Her ease of handling and smoothness over the waves are also excellent for this category. The Ferretti Group, and especially the AYT, have specifically worked on matching high performance with comfort and low noise, using innovative silencing systems for the engines.

Sarnico, 4th June 2012 - Riva, brand of the Ferretti Group, an icon of the boating sector all over the world and symbol of Italian flair, celebrates its 170th anniversary with a rich agenda of events taking place from June 27th to July 1st in the most enchanting places of the Italian and French Riviera. The event will be enriched by the celebrations for the 50 years of the legendary Aquarama and by the world premiere of the new 63' Virtus.
On June 27th and 28th, in the enchanting scenario of the ‘Golfo dei Poeti’ (Liguria), the whole Riva dealer network from all over the world will have the pleasure to discover the new model, built at the historic shipyard in Sarnico.
On the following day, Friday 29th June, from La Spezia the new 63’ Virtus will cruise to Saint Tropez, while, at the same time, from the port of Monte-Carlo the ‘Riva Trophy’ event will start, just before to the prestigious gala dinner for Riva owners. This event will take place in the enchanting scenario of the dike of Saint Tropez, which will host Owners coming from all over the world for enjoying the exclusive premiere of the new Riva 63’ Virtus and the sea trials of this model scheduled for the following days and which are dedicated to all the guests.
On the occasion of the 'Riva Trophy', the 50th anniversary of Aquarama will also be celebrated. The peak moment will be the gala dinner in Monte-Carlo organized by Monaco Boat Service, the historic exclusive Riva Dealer on the French Riviera.
On July 1st the past and the future of Riva will join on the occasion of the 'Aquarama Parade’, a long parade in front of the Monaco Yacht Club opened by the 63’ Virtus, which will pay an homage to the 50 years of Aquarama, the icon of the shipyard and the symbol of the brand Riva in the unforgettable years of ‘Dolce Vita’.
Celebrations will end in the afternoon with the award ceremony of the ‘Riva Trophy’, the closing moment of the three days of sea competitions, such as the regularity and the elegance contest. The elegance contest will be judged by an authoritative and international panel, which will vote for the craft which will have interpreted the slogan “Be Beautiful such as your Aquarama” in the best way.

Next Monday “Megafabbriche Italiane” – the TV series that lets the public find out about Italy’s great, innovative factories, where world famous Italian products are manufactured – will “land” in Sarnico, on Lake Iseo, where Riva’s legendary history, which still lives on today, began 170 years ago. Starting from a humble shed located on the Bergamo side of the Lake, the Riva boatyard was capable of developing and modernising while keeping the charm of this unique, historical site unchanged, turning it into a reference location for the boating industry worldwide. Monday’s episode will be devoted to Aquariva, the brand’s 33-foot powerboat characterised by soft, stylish lines, that, more than any other craft in the range, reflects Riva's style evolution over the years. "RIVA 75' VENERE SUPER" NAMED "BEST PRODUCTION MOTOR YACHT" AT HONG KONG ASIAN BOATING AWARDS
A prestigious international acknowledgement for Riva in the year when the boatyard celebrates its 170th anniversary
Sarnico, 16th May 2012 – Riva, a brand of the Ferretti Group, received the prestigious “Best Production Motor Yacht” award in the category between 15m and 24m during the Asian Boating Awards, which were held in Hong Kong at the opening of the 2012 Gold Coast Boat Show, last weekend in Hong Kong.
Organised for the first time in 2005 by the "Asia-Pacific Boating” and “China Boating” magazines in 2005, the Asian Boating Awards celebrate every year the best Asian and worldwide boating industry production. The “Riva 75’ Venere Super” received this prestigious award during the gala reception held in the magnificent Ballroom of the Hong Kong Grand Hyatt Hotel.
The award was collected on behalf of Riva and the Ferretti Group by Daniell Chen, Chief Representative of Ferretti Group Asia Regional Office.
The 75’ Venere Super is a restyling of one of Riva’s most widely appreciated models.
Its interiors and exteriors have been entirely renovated to offer more comfort when cruising and optimising onboard space. THE FERRETTI GROUP CONTINUES ITS TOUR ALL OVER THE ASIA PACIFIC AREA AND TAKES PART IN THE GOLD COAST BOAT SHOW IN HONG KONG
- After the Phuket International Boat Show, the Hainan Rendez-Vous and the China International Boat Show in Shanghai, the Ferretti Group continues with its very rich agenda of the most important boat shows in the Asia Pacific area and takes part in the Gold Coast Boat Show in Hong Kong.

Pershing 92’, about 28 meters long with 4 cabins, is characterized by its slim and aggressive external profile with tight lines that permit the enlargement of the internal volume, with maximum comfort on board, creating continuity between the interiors and the exteriors and incomparable living spaces.
Sport Riva 56’ is a “sporty glamour” inspired yacht which integrates the flybridge concept with the sporty lines of an open coupé, An example of modern design which never abandons the taste of Riva’s tradition, it satisfies the needs of owners who, not intentioned to sacrifice the lines of a sporty yacht, are willing at the same time to enjoy all comfort and liveability onboard.
The participation in the Gold Coast Boat Show is a further confirmation of the strategic relevance attached to the Asia Pacific area by the Ferretti Group, which aims at strengthening its influence on a market featuring encouraging perspectives, where it has been present for many years. The participation of the Ferretti Group to the Hong Kong event in part of the busy agenda of Spring events in which the Group has been the protagonist of the nautical and luxury events taking place in this area. The last stop of the tour will be the Qingdao International Boat Show, scheduled from the 25th to the 27th of May, where the Ferretti Group will have the Pershing 92’on display.
The yachts under the spotlight
Pershing 92’, created by the designer Fulvio De Simoni together with the fundamental support of the technical staff of Pershing and the close collaboration with Norberto Ferretti, the AYT (Advanced Yacht Technology) and the Centro Stile of the Ferretti Group, , creating more room especially in the hall and the stern cockpit on the main deck. This is a new racy and modern model, with maximum comfort on board, creating continuity between the interiors and the exteriors and incomparable living spaces. Pershing 92’ fits perfectly with the new design course inaugurated with the famous Pershing 72’, successfully followed by the last models, the Pershing 64’ and the Pershing 80’, characterised by a distinctive open personality, with ample volume and total luminosity for direct contact with the sea highlighting the “family feeling” concept that has guided the stylistic choice of the entire project. Pershing 92’ develops all the stylistic elements that distinguish the models of the fleet: the windows of the superstructure, the wide glass walls, the large retractable glass door which divides the cockpit from the salon as well as the inimitable performance of each Pershing yacht. The yacht, the owner’s suite and two guest cabins with two side by side beds at the bow, all with en-suite bathroom. The elegance of the furnishing is the result of the collaborative teamwork of two historic Made in Italy labels: Poltrona Frau, which has designed and realized the dashboard, all the seating and all the details of the internal furnishing, and Ernestomeda, which realized the gallery. Accessible from inside and outside, there is an area at the stern that has been equipped as a crew lodging. It is made up of two cabins with bathrooms, and they are linked to the kitchen. Pershing 92’ is motorized by 2 MTU diesel of 16 V with 2638 horse power with surface propellers Rolla and ARNESON transmission and reaches the maximum speed of 41 knots and 38 knots at cruising speed. The propulsion system is completed by the MASTERTRIM function, which optimizes the performance, the trim and the consumption of the craft according to the speed and the load in a completely automatic way. Its slimmer profile, larger volume and the study of space confirm the great care given to the project making Pershing 92’ a new point of reference which can bring about the revolution of the concept of on board living.
Sport Riva 56’ is a “sporty glamour” inspired yacht which integrates the flybridge concept with the sporty lines of an open coupé. Developed by Officina Italiana Design, the exclusive design studio of all Riva’s yachts, partnering both AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology – Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre, and the team of architects and designers of Centro Stile Ferrettigroup,SportRiva 56’ is an example of modern design characterised by innovative solutions, which can’t leave out the taste of Riva’s many year tradition. It satisfies the needs of owners who, not intentioned to sacrifice the lines of a sporty yacht, are willing to enjoy whole luxury, comfort and liveability. This can be achieved, respectively, outside, thanks to the deck featuring a large, external living area, and inside, thanks to the relaxing atmosphere produced through the combination of the warm colours. Moreover, large windows provide natural lighting. Sport Riva 56’ sporty attitude can be recognised also in the prominent V-bottom, which is particularly dynamic and reactive while turning even with rough seas. The yacht is equipped with two MAN V8 engines, power at 900 mhp, which deliver a maximum speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots.

THE FERRETTI GROUP WILL BE IN THE SPOTLIGHT AT THE SPRING INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOWS BY TAKING PART IN FOUR LEADING EVENTS IN THE ASIA PACIFIC REGION WITH SOME OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS YACHTS IN ITS FLEET
- Until 1st April the Group was present at the ninth Phuket International Boat Show in Thailand, where, in cooperation with its dealer Lee Marine, it presented two premieres for the Asia Pacific area: the Ferretti 720 and the Pershing 92’, the latter being the largest craft on display at the Show;
- The Pershing 92’ and the Ferretti 720, together with the Ferretti 550 and the Ferretti 660, will also be the protagonists of the third edition of the Hainan Rendez-Vous, one of the most important events worldwide devoted to luxury goods, which will be held from 5th to 8th April on the charming island of Hainan, in southern China;
- The Ferretti Group will then cruise towards two other outstanding international boat shows: the China International Boat Show of Shanghai, which will take place from 19th to 22nd April, and the Qingdao International Boat Show, from 25th to 27th May.
Forlì, 3rd April 2012 - The Ferretti Group, one of the world leaders in the construction of motor yachts, with a unique portfolio of some of the most exclusive, prestigious brands in the nautical world, starts the spring season of international boat shows by taking part in some of the most important events in the Asia Pacific region with a selection of the most prestigious yachts in its fleet.
Until 1st April the Group was present at the ninth edition of the Phuket International Boat Show (PIMEX) with one of the largest stands of the show, set up in the prestigious Royal Phuket Marina, where, together with its exclusive dealer for Thailand Lee Marine, it displayed two of the most recent jewels of its fleet: Ferretti 720, of the Ferretti Yachts brand, and Pershing 92’, representing the Pershing brand; the latter yacht was the flagship of this year’s Show. The two crafts were presented as absolute premieres for the Asia Pacific area, and the public had the opportunity to visit the yachts and perform sea trials on them, to experience first-hand the great quality that has always distinguished all the Ferretti Group models. Moreover, on 30th March the Group organised a special gala night for its Customers, prospects and the press, with the aim of introducing at best its two new pearls and showing once more how close the Group feels, and is, to its Owners.

The Ferretti Group will then take part in the third edition of the Hainan Rendez-Vous, which will be held from 5th to 8th April 2012 on the island of Hainan, in southern China: a charming location for a unique event which has by now become a real must for the leading world operators in the luxury sector. At this Show the Group will exhibit the Pershing 92’, the Ferretti 720, and also the Ferretti 550 and the Ferretti 660 of the Ferretti Yachts brand, also thanks to the support of its local dealer Speedo Marine. For the Ferretti Group this year’s Rendez-Vous is even more significant, since it is being held only a few weeks after the launch of the new Custom Line 112’ next - built for a Chinese Owner -, which will be berthed just on this beautiful island. The new hull in the Ferretti Custom Line range was indeed launched by the Group at the end of March at the Ancona shipyard: the new yacht will be available for the guests of the top-luxury Xanadu South China Sea resort, currently under construction in Hainan.
“Year after year, the Hainan Rendez-Vous is strengthening its role as a really unmissable event for the international producers of luxury goods all over the world, thanks to the constant extension of available exhibition areas, both ashore and in the sea, the growing prestige of the participating companies, and the world-class level of its visitors” - continued Lamberto Tacoli. “Moreover, this show is increasingly strategic for our Group, which has been present on the Asian market for many years now: in 2004 we appointed a dedicated Asia Pacific Area Manager and in 2005 we opened a representative and promotion office in Shanghai, dealing with the development and management of the Customer and sales network. Our presence in the area has thus constantly strengthened over the years, with the creation of an ad-hoc team in charge of constantly monitoring this region”.
After the Phuket International Boat Show and the Hainan Rendez-Vous, the Ferretti Group will take part in two more leading international boat shows: the China International Boat Show in Shanghai, held from 19th to 22nd April 2012 - where the Pershing 92’ will again be on display - and the Qingdao International Boat Show, from 25th to 27th May 2012. "CONVERGENCE" 2012: YET ANOTHER SUCCESS. THE MASTER COURSE TARGETED AT THE CAPTAINS OF THE FERRETTI GROUP'S BOATS AND VESSELS CONFIRMS ITS VITAL ROLE AS A UNIQUE TRAINING OPPORTUNITY
Onboard safety, the management of emergencies, a thorough knowledge of crafts and their technologies: these were the leading themes tackled during the four-day meeting that involved more than 120 Captains and Chief Engineers of the Group’s boats and vessels. All participants took part in theoretical lessons, team exercises, and in-depth visits of boatyards and nautical companies based on Lake Iseo and Lake Garda, the location of the 2012 edition.
Forlì, 23rd March 2012– The 2012 edition of “Convergence” ended on 16th March. “Convergence” is the training and refresher Master Course that the Ferretti Group - a world leader in the construction of luxury motor yachts with a unique portfolio of the most prestigious and exclusive brands in the nautical world - devotes every year to the Captains and Chief Engineers of its boats and vessels.
The eighth edition of this meeting was held in the beautiful setting of Lake Garda, and included a far-reaching programme extending over four days and focusing in particular on onboard safety and the management of emergencies, as well as on the importance of having a thorough knowledge of the craft and its technologies.
The technical sessions, organised in cooperation with the Ferretti Group’s leading Technology Partners, dealt with a wide range of subjects and were eagerly followed by over 120 participants. The lectures held by MTU, ZF, Onan, Rina, Condaria, Flir, Gianneschi, Idromar and Naviop were particularly appreciated by the attendees; their main goal was to illustrate the state-of-the-art in the technologically innovative systems installed on the Ferretti Group's yachts, as well as to explain how a close cooperation between the Partners and the Group from the very early stages of product development can result both in top-quality products and in easier management and maintenance by onboard personnel.
Besides theoretical sessions, technical-training demonstrations were also held in the various dedicated corners set up by the Partners Fluiten, OceanLed and Rolla, while during the dinner on Wednesday night Flir made an unusual night demonstration of their thermal imaging cameras. On the same occasion, all participants could taste and enjoy the wines of Consorzio Tutela del Bardolino, Jack Daniel's spirits and Davidoff's cigars.The training was further enriched by the visits to some historical nautical companies located on Lake Iseo, particularly the legendary Cantieri Riva and Cantieri RAM, in Sarnico, as well as a visit to Besenzoni and to the boatyard and showroom of Nautica Casarola in Peschiera del Garda, where - on the last day of the Convergence meeting - the certificates of attendance were handed over to all participants.
Two themes that are closely related to the recent events that occurred in Italy, the management of onboard emergencies and safety, were at the core of the opening lecture held by the RINA, devoted to life-saving appliances and ship abandonment procedures. The Captains and Chief Engineers also took part in a team building video-shooting activity which inspired some in-depth reflection and a very interesting debate during the round table chaired by Eng. Roberto Martinoli, one of the leading experts in this field, the Italian delegate of the European Cruise Council and the Managing Director of Grandi Navi Veloci.
“Convergence” is thus confirming, year after year, it is an unmissable training opportunity and one of the most enthralling activities for the entire Ferretti Group, which constantly aims to strengthen a sense of belonging and closeness as well as to ensure that “its” sea professionals are always in the lead in terms of training and skills.
